This week has begun the preparation phase organized by MUNDUS for vocational students who will perform their Erasmus + internships abroad. Students from several Catalan municipalities have attended the Mas Fonollar youth center in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, where the VET team of Mundus Barcelona, carries out the training.

My Erasmus + VET Experience. We introduce you to Filipe Marinho, a Portuguese hospitality student who has spent the month of January and February with us in Zaragoza doing internships at Cafés El Criollo. Filipe belongs to the Escuela Profesional Gustave Eiffel  of Entroncamento of which we have been in charge of managing an Erasmus + project for 8 students.

BELLE project. The Mundus Association will coordinate over the next two years the Erasmus + KA2 project "Better and Easier Access to LifeLong Learning in Europe" (BELLE) with 5 partner organizations from 5 countries of the European Union: Horizont ProConsult EOOD (Bulgaria), Mine Vaganti NGO (Italy), FM Consulting s.r.o. (Czech Republic), Veseligas attistibas skola (Latvia) and Visoka poslovna skola PAR (Croatia).

We are looking for a company or communication agency that helps us to manage the communication of the Erasmus + “Megavolunteers” project from February to July 2018. In this project, 100 international volunteers will participate to support the Juegos del Mediterráneo de Tarragona 2018. 

Adele Ramacciotti is 27 years old and joins the team of Italians at our office in Mundus de Santa Coloma. She comes from Viareggio, in Tuscany, famous for its Carnival. It seems that she fell in love with Barcelona through an EVS ("an experience that has totally changed my life," she tells us) and stayed. If you talk to her, don't forget to pronounce the "e" end of her name!

Carla Valeria Martínez is another of the new additions, also in the Erasmus + VET shipping team. You will find her in the office of Santa Coloma always working with her headphones and music. She is 25 years old and is from Barcelona since a lifetime. As an important fact, we would highlight that she likes unicorns very much. Keep reading and meet Carla!

Erasmus + contest. Would you like to carry out a project to promote one of the Sustainable Development Goals in your local community? We are looking for youth groups from the provinces of Barcelona and Girona with ideas to help improve the planet and the society of the future. Present your idea before February 20 and if you are selected you will participate in an international training course (Bulgaria, April 2018) and we will help you to carry out your idea (€ 1,000 per project). One project will be awarded per province. Dont miss the chance! This initiative belongs to LACE for SDG, a project funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus + program.

Lately, the MUNDUS family has grown and we want to present the new members properly. We start with Luis (yes, with an accent that is Galician). That said: it comes from the land of mussels and octopus, but has walked long before sitting in the office of Santa Coloma. With all of you: Luís Cancio!

We continue to introduce new members of the Mundus team. From Santa Coloma to Girona. There is Clara Ribera, communication assistant and mobility project manager in the capital of Girona. Know her!

Art as a tool for social inclusion was the central axis of the “Social Inclusion Through Arts” (SITA) training course that took place in Zaragoza from October 20 to 26, 2017. On horseback between the old Hotel Horus and the headquarters of Mundus In Aragon - the ICES co-working space - 21 participants from 10 different countries (Spain, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Portugal and Poland) participated in SITA, a course financed by Erasmus + and co -organized by MUNDUS and Udruga Mladih, from Croatia.

Erasmus + exchange in Barcelona. From December 3 to 11, the Mundus association participated in the organization of a youth exchange: "Intra EU - Light it Up". It was a project coordinated by the Catalan foundation Eveho, which manages different centers for supervised minors, in which 30 young people (from Spain and Romania) gathered in Barcelona to encourage exchange between cultures and improve their initiative and employability. Joining their ideas, the participants created and organized a Christmas event in Santa Coloma de Gramenet open to the local community.

Erasmus + experience in Macedonia. From November 12 to 19, Marta, Bea and Sara represented MUNDUS in the second part of the training course "Peers for Peace" which took place in Struga, Macedonia. This project has been aimed at raising awareness about the factors that determine discrimination based on religious beliefs. In June, the same international participants participated in the first part of the project that took place in Arad (Romania). We leave you with their chronicle and photos.

Erasmus + training course. "Media Literacy: Step into Inclusive Society" had two chapters that took our participants to places as different as Aarhus (Denmark) and Struga (Macedonia). Julia in Denmark, Estrella in Macedonia, and José and Hassania in both places participated in the conference that took place in the picturesque city of Aarhus and in the training course on the shores of Lake Ohrid in Struga.

From October 5 to 10 (Aarhus) and from October 30 to November 7 (Struga) José, Hassania, Julia and Estrella entered the world of media, and discussed how they can contribute to generating greater tolerance within the cultural diversity existing in Europe.

MUNDUS Association organized on Thursday, November 30, the Count with Me event at the Milla Digital Business Incubation Center (CIEM) in Zaragoza. This meeting was attended by more than 20 representatives of Aragonese companies and institutions that collaborate in the reception of Erasmus + internship students. Through this act, MUNDUS wanted to thank its work in the reception of young students of professional formation of different countries of the European Union that chose Aragon as destination for their scholarships.

In accordance with Resolution TSF / 1779/2017, of July 13, 2017, we have received a grant for the practical recruitment of 3 young beneficiaries of the Juvenile Guarantee Program in Catalonia.

This recruitment is co-financed by the Juvenile Employment Initiative and the European Social Fund 2014-2020, with a co-financing of 91.89%.
