EVS of Youseff Issa, in the project "Differences Make You Grow"

Yousseff Issa is our Sevillian volunteer in Lisbon. Since the beginning of October he has participated in the "Differences make you grow" project in Lisbon. This mobility has been possible thanks to the Proatlântico host association and the Erasmus + program, which is funded by the European Voluntary Service. By the way, a little bird has just told us that he has just turned years in the Portuguese city, so we took the opportunity to send him a big birthday hug.

MARCH

The month of March has been full of experiences. Many experiences, yes ... We learned to make pasta on the Italian intercultural day, thanks to a workshop prepared by our colleagues in Italy. In addition, we were lucky to enjoy the events that were celebrated by carnival.

JANUARY

As usual, this month has events that give a lot of energy, very special moments. In Lisbon I had the best New Year's show I could have imagined. In this month I have also shared the Spanish intercultural day.

DECEMBER

December was also a special and pleasant month for me. I participated in the training on arrival and did many cultural activities; But the real treasure was meeting new wonderful people. I also participated in the Christmas dinner, and it was also wonderful. In the center that I already consider my home, Fifth Essence, I have learned new things, especially "soft" teaching skills.

New Year's Eve was also very fun and bright with the lights of the fireworks.

NOVEMBER

The month of November has been the month of motivating with the QE, supporting restoration, bringing clients to class, having weekly conferences with Senhor Miguel and helping educators in their work.

OCTOBER

The day of my trip I arrived in Portugal at 6:00 AM and Raquel received me very professionally. From the beginning, I go to Portuguese classes with a good group of volunteers.

My first week at work in which I applied for volunteering was mostly to experiment, but now I have a schedule.

I learn every day and I like this experience.
