We present the new website of the Solidarity Corps

Novelty CES. Now you can answer all your questions about the European Solidarity Corps o www.cuerpoeuropeodesolidaridad.coma Mundus portal to centralize information related to this new European Commission program. The ESC, also known as ESC for its acronym in English, replaces the well-known European Voluntary Service.

The new European Union program is called the European Solidarity Corps and includes volunteer projects, work and internship projects, and solidarity projects. Mundus has created a web page exclusively to learn about the program. In any case, we continue to centralize all volunteer opportunities in the usual offers section and through our dissemination channels.

Volunteer projects:
It is a voluntary activity without remuneration, which can be extended up to twelve months. It allows the volunteer to contribute to the daily work of different organizations with the final objective of contributing to the development of the community in which the activity is inserted. They can be done individually or in groups, in the participant's country of residence or in another country. Volunteers do not receive remuneration, but they do help with transportation, accommodation, maintenance, medical insurance and some money for daily expenses. Check the latest opportunities here.

Solidarity projects:
These are activities that are carried out in the country of origin of the participant. Young people can present, develop and implement their own solidarity projects in those areas that they believe need a boost in their local contexts. Those who want to present a project must group at least five young people, in a period of between two and twelve months, to carry out a project on the chosen topic. These activities can count on the help of a coach, who helps the group to implement the project.

Work programs and practices:
These are opportunities for internships or temporary jobs that allow young people to develop their professional skills to contribute to their employment. On the one hand, the jobs have a minimum duration of three months, with no maximum time limit. On the other hand, in the case of internships, they have a duration of two to six months, with the possibility of renewing once. These jobs and internships are always paid, regulated by a contract and follow a training agreement to guarantee the development of the personal and professional skills of each participant. Both the work and the internship can be done inside or outside the country of origin of the participant.

At the moment, Mundus does not offer opportunities of this modality. However, we encourage you to check available volunteer opportunities here.
