Mundus has been in Madrid as a guest at the European Solidarity Corps event: volunteering and solidarity employment, organized by the Office of the Representation of the European Commission in Spain together with the Minister of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare, María Luisa Carcedo. Our partner Ruth Palacios, Mundus volunteer coordinator, has participated in the My Experience in the European Solidarity Corps round table, together with young former participants in volunteer projects.
Today Mundus has been present at the presentation of the European Solidarity Corps at the headquarters of the European Commission Representation in Spain, in Madrid. The reason for the act was to publicize the European volunteer program that will take over from the European Voluntary Service, and whose databases have already registered more than 100,000 young people from all over Europe, 14,000 of them from Spain.
Frencisco Fonseca Morillo, Director of the Representation of the European Commission in Spain, María Luisa Carcedo Roces, Minister of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare; and Ruth Carrasco Ruiz, General Director of INJUVE. In the most institutional part they have presented the European Solidarity Corps program, which aims to "create opportunities for young people to work as volunteers or collaborate on projects - in their own countries or abroad - that benefit communities and citizens across Europe ".
From Mundus we have sent Ruth, volunteer coordinator in the association, who has participated in the My Experience in the European Solidarity Corps round table, in which experiences and plans have been shared within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps.
Stay tuned to our website and social networks, because very soon you will have a surprise on our part, so that you do not miss any detail or offer from the European Solidarity Corps. We will continue to inform.
