Msisab, Erasmus+ company

Erasmus+ company. Msisab is material machining company located in Zaragoza, which for almost four years has hosted European students thanks to the Erasmus+ VET programme, allowing them to do an internship in Spain. Erasmus+ VET is the EU education initiative to promote the mobility of vocational students by offering them the possibility of make a training period in a work center in a foreign country.

"It was a way to open up the company", explains Sergio León, head of the Comercial Deartment at Msisab. He does not doubt about the mutual benefit of hosting European students for an internship period in the team.

Msisab has developed and established a hosting process to ensure the student and the team get the most of experience. From the day they arrive, a person from the company makes an introduction to the company and a training that lasts between three to four days. From then on, students already have clear objectives and they can start to be autonomous by putting into practice what they know, as well as the new skills acquired throught the traineeship period.

"We practice English, they bring joy and they fill in the company with fresh air", says León. These are young people from countries such as Poland, Bulgaria or Italy, among others, who are eager to learn. "Our experience is that they are very hard workers", he adds. Sergio León does not hesitate to say that the vast majority of young people that they have hosted at Msisab have the door open to the company if they return to Zaragoza.

By hosting Erasmus+ students in their company, Msisab contribute to the construction of unified Europe. "We are a unique community and the Erasmus+ initiative is a way of sharing our culture and get to know other working methods".
