Erasmus + experiences in Greece. Dario and Maia traveled from April 2 to 9 to Kalatama, in Greece, to participate in a training course on creativity and refugees organized by the association K.A.NE, Social Youth Development.
The two wanted to share in a joint text their experience and the work done during that week.
Maia (Madrid) and Dario (Madrid):
"We wrote these newly landed lines from Greece, and the intensity of the experience is still very present. It was our first Training Course with the Mundus Association and we could not have asked for more, neither from the host association nor from the sending association.
This was a training course focused on creativity and work with refugees, with emphasis on the exchange of good practices and the possibility of imagining future projects between the associations of the participating countries, 8 in total! From Greece to Madeira and from Hungary to Palestine, the involvement was high and the desire to do activities together as well. We are sure that from this contact between the associations that were present there will be new projects.
Greece is a country of rhythmic rhythm, of smiles on the waitresses and of calm sounds. We had the opportunity to enjoy Kalamata and its surroundings, and to establish good friendships with the training classmates, as well as other European volunteers who helped organize the training course.
To end the week, an "intercultural night" where everyone could explain to the rest a little more about their country and share food, drink, and what would be the last conversations.
It was sad to say goodbye, but we are certain that more than one of the people there will see them again. And we thank Mundus for giving us the opportunity, we will repeat with pleasure, for sure !! And those who read us do not hesitate, exchanges and training courses are a very positive experience that can make a difference! "
