Description of the activity

Fundació Mans a les Mans is looking for 4 volunteers between 18 and 30 years old for a long term volunteering that will take place from the beggining of December 2020 to November 2021 (12 months) in Barcelona. The volunteer will participate in the daily activities of the Mans a les Mans Foundation for children with fewer opportunities in La Marina de Port (a district of Barcelona). The activities are related to homework support, social integration and leisure activities (sports, art and nature). These activities take place every day from Monday to Friday in the afternoon. They will also carry out common activities with other volunteers such as language workshops and a language café. 

Accomodation, food and transport arrangements

This project is founded by the European Commission. The project covers: 
- Travel costs (up to the limits established in Erasmus+ Guide distance calculator). 
- Grant that will cover accomodation, maintainance, pocket money and local transports (700 euros aprox.)

Participant profile

- Young volunteers (18-30 years old).
- A motivated, sociable, proactive, open-minded, tolerant, creative, self-reliant person. 
- Someone who doesn´t want to come to Catalonia for vacations.
