This week has begun the preparation phase organized by MUNDUS for vocational students who will perform their Erasmus + internships abroad. Students from several Catalan municipalities have attended the Mas Fonollar youth center in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, where the VET team of Mundus Barcelona, carries out the training.

Erasmus + VET. After the selection process, MUNDUS has already started working to prepare students for training cycles that will travel abroad to work in companies in their sector. The engines of the VET department are already underway and have begun to gather youth groups based on their destiny.

The objective of these meetings is, first of all, that the students who will share the experience in the host country begin to know each other. In addition, the most practical aspects of the Erasmus + program will be reviewed, such as the delivery of mandatory documents and the signing of the grant agreement.

One of the most important aspects for MUNDUS is to provide good training before departure so that the experience is of maximum benefit for each student. Young people will have the opportunity to attend free language classes that will be held at Mas Fonollar, an initiative taught by EVS volunteers (European Voluntary Service) in addition to being trained in parallel thanks to free online tools.

In order to assign the best practices to each participant, videoconferences will also be organized with the host partners in each country, who are in charge of contacting a wide range of companies, to finally define each case individually. This training will culminate with a weekend of conviviality baptized with Can Europa in Coma-ruga, where all the participants of this year will share two days of expectations, illusions and good moments before leaving for the Erasmus + experience.

The students who participated in these meetings come from different locations in the metropolitan area: Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Terrassa, Vilanova i la Geltrú, Cornellà de Llobregat, Montcada i Reixach and Barcelona.
