Description of the activity

We are looking for 4 volunteers between 18 and 30 years old for a long term volunteering period from November 2020 to November 2021 (12 months) in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Barcelona and Rubí. This youth centre "Centre Obert" offers different activities, workshops and social care to young people and children (3-16 years old) at risk of exclusion (fewer opportunities). El Faro is looking for someone who has or wants to have experience in social work and who will help the social and youth workers carrying out their daily activities and different workshops in the afternoon (from Monday to Friday). They will also carry out common activities with other volunteers such as language workshops and a language café.

Accomodation, food and transport arrangements

This project is founded by the European Commission. The project covers: 
- Travel costs (up to the limits established in Erasmus+ Guide distance calculator). 
- Grant that will cover accomodation, maintainance, pocket money and local transports (700 euros aprox.)

Participant profile

- Young volunteers (18-30 years old).
- A motivated, sociable, proactive, open-minded, tolerant, creative, self-reliant person. 
- Someone who doesn´t want to come to Catalonia for vacations.
