• From May 30 to June 3, several representatives of European entities were in Fuerteventura to see first-hand the facilities, the work of Sun Dreams Global and attend the awards ceremony

• On Wednesday, June 1, the recognition ceremony was held for companies and entities collaborating with Sun Dreams Global

During the first week of June, Sun Dreams Global held the second edition of the SUN4VET event on the island of Fuerteventura to promote the Erasmus+ program and Vocational Training. Asociación Mundus had the pleasure of attending the meetings and networking sessions with another 50 European partners and also the award ceremony for Sun Dreams Global collaborating companies and entities.

SUN4VET is an initiative that brings together European partners for a few days on the island with two key objectives: to strengthen ties to continue building the future of the Erasmus program on the island and to make the entities that send students aware of the facilities and companies that host young people during their vocational training practices.

In this edition, SUN4VET also had the intervention of Mr. Joao Santos (Senior Expert in the General Directorate of Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission). Mr. Joao Santos spoke about the plans, priorities and future objectives of the European Union and also about the financing instruments, the real means to achieve these great political objectives. This intervention was a true guide for all those responsible for European entities present at SUN4VET.

In addition to seeing the Sun Dreams Global facilities in person, the European partners were also able to visit the companies where VET students do Erasmus internships and spend time with the tutors. These companies, which play a fundamental role in the experience of European students on the island, were the protagonists of the awards ceremony.

This ceremony seeks to give visibility and recognize the great work of these companies when it comes to welcoming and accompanying young people. It was held on Wednesday June 1 at the Corralejo Auditorium.
