"Sharing our KnEUledge" training course in Girona

Training course in Girona. From November 10 to 16, Mundus organized the Erasmus + "Sharing our KnEUledge" training course, a project for youth workers from around Europe to learn about the Erasmus + program and how to apply it to their local organizations and projects.

This is a project co-financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus + program and with the support of the City Council of Girona and the Xarxa d'Albergs de Catalunya (XANASCAT).

The "Sharing our KnEUledge" training course hosted 15 youth workers from Romania, Slovenia, Poland, Italy, France, Germany and Catalonia in the city of Girona from November 10 to 16, 2018.

The project was carried out at Estació Espai Jove, a youth center in Girona, and at the Alberg Cerverí, of the Xanascat network. In 7 days, 15 strangers became family and partners in future projects, shared ideas, discussed the objectives of the Erasmus + program, analyzed the benefits of mobility and how this could be applied in their small local communities. They were days of intense work, of many shared anecdotes, of individual and group challenges, but above all, they were days to dream that the future is full of people who travel, know, share and build a shared Europe.

Alba, a participant from Girona, said: "It was my first Erasmus + experience and I am very sure it will not be the last. Solidarity, teamwork and inclusion have been the most relevant aspects for me in this project. The experience it has given the opportunity to share a week with people from all over Europe in a young, active, happy and committed environment. I have learned and been inspired by other participants. It has been a week full of dynamic and creative activities. "

The program carried out included team building activities, gymnastics around Girona looking for the reason for mobility, study visits to the Ramon Noguera Foundation and the castellers of the University of Girona, a human library with participants in Erasmus + projects and space for brainstorming and the creation of future Erasmus + projects.

Patrick, one of the participants from Romania: "This course has given me a new perspective on the Erasmus + program and the opportunities that exist to grow on a personal level in Europe. I am now motivated to implement new projects as a youth worker to benefit my local community ".
