KA2 Training Course in Belgium. From May 12th to 18th 2019 participated together with CSL Casco Viejo in the training course organised in the framework of the KA2 "My Story Maps" an initiative in the field of education, which took place in Bruges, Belgium. After working with young people in each local community, the teachers went to Belgium to get training on how to use the platform to create digital maps with their students, and transfer this skills to each education institution they work for to fight against school dropout.

Iva, staff member from Asociación Mundus, and José Luis, teacher at CSL Casco Viejo, were the participants in this training course, which started last monday with an evaluation meeting of the workshops implemented at the local level. Starting in the afternoon and throughout the following days, the group of teachers was trained in the use of ArcGIS online and the digital narrative as a tool to combat school dropout through the empowerment of young people who tell their stories.

The training ended with the creation of a Story Map by each participant, who afterwards, presented their creations to the group. At the end, a reflection process was carried out about My Story Map and potential activities to be done through the tool.

My story map is a project based on an educational strategy that puts its focus on the pedagogical use of digital maps with the aim of reincorporating young people into learning activities and, thanks to the result produced, avoid other young people dropping out of the education system prematurely. The project is based on an intersectoral and strategic approach that can be adopted and implemented by schools, vocational educational training institutions, lifelong learning centers, youth centers and youth oranisations, with the macro objective of interating social innovation in education.
