Mundus participates in a workshop on exchanges in Barcelona
At the end of November the Mundus Association was participating in the campaign From BCN to Món and from Món to BCN,organized by the Asesoría de Movilidad Internacional
of the Barcelona City Council. Among the different activities that took place, we participated in the workshop "Youth Exchanges: an enriching and economical way to explore Europe", which was attended by 30 young people interested in participating in a youth exchange.
In this activity, in whose preparation several organizations that manage youth exchanges collaborated, the aim was to bring the Erasmus + program, and, more specifically, youth exchanges to those young people who did not know them. For this, a session was prepared in the wonderful building of La Fàbrica del Sol in Barcelona, in which the typical dynamics of a youth exchange were carried out.
We start with a name game to break the ice. Afterwards, the attendees learned about a "team building" activity (group dynamics), in which they had to build, in groups, a structure to "save" a fresh egg. Once we had broken the ice, people from different associations explained what the Erasmus + program consists of, what youth exchanges consist of, and how and in which they can participate. In addition, the young attendees had the great opportunity to learn about the previous experience of former participants in youth exchanges, among which was our trotamundus Gladys Parra explaining her experience in Italy with Mundus.
Want to know more about youth exchanges? Stop by this section of the web where we explain what they are and by this one on which we tell you what are the roles of participants and group leaders. And if after reading all this you want to come with us to live your first international experience in a youth exchange, take a look at the open opportunities from our website or ask us.
