Last weekend, the "A Europa, thus" training coexistence took place, in which more than one hundred young people from vocational training institutes in Aragon, La Rioja and Tarragona met. The objective was to prepare young people who will carry out an internship mobility starting in March in companies from different European countries in their professional branches. Asociación Mundus, as a reference in European mobility programs in Aragon, was the organizer and responsible for carrying out the workshops and dynamics.

Last weekend, the Aragonese Youth Institute (IAJ) shelter hosted more than 100 young people who participated in the “A Europa, thus” training days, organized by Asociación Mundus. More than a hundred students from several VET education centers in Aragon (IES Miguel Catalán, Modern Times, Chabacier, Virgen del Pilar, Pedro and Cerrada), and also from La Rioja and Tarragona, have had the opportunity to prepare for a weekend Weekend to face the experience they will live from next March.

Participants are beneficiaries of a mobility grant under the Erasmus + program that will allow them to carry out an internship period of between one and three months in a company of their professional branch abroad, in different cities of Italy, Malta , Poland and Slovenia. The formative coexistence of the weekend has helped the students, for most of whom is their first stay abroad, face mobility with greater security and logistic, social and emotional control of the experience.

From 9 in the morning from Saturday to Sunday at noon, in groups of 20 people, workshops have been conducted to work on social skills and interculturality, conflict management, leadership, teamwork, etc. These dynamics aim to help participants overcome their fears and ultimately empower them.

More than 15 trainers from different parts of Spain were in charge of giving these workshops and were delighted with the welcome and participation of a generation of young people who have their clear objectives and know the possibilities that international mobility gives them in its formation and facing its labor insertion.

The inaugural act of "To Europe, then" was attended by Adrian Gimeno, managing director of the Aragonese Youth Institute; Julio Pérez, advisor to the Educational Programs Unit of the Provincial Education Service; and Daniel Escudero and Daniel Sariñena, of the IDEASFOR organization (entity that transfers to Aragon the best good practices imported by young people from the Community who live or have lived abroad); and Enrique Miana, vice president of the Mundus Association.

Asociación Mundus facilitates the realization of student mobility towards Europe, but also welcomes more than 1000 European students in Aragon who come to practice in Aragonese companies. More than 400 companies in Zaragoza and its surroundings have signed agreements with Mundus to host young people from Italy, France, Poland, Holland, Finland, Bulgaria ...
