Job shadowing in Malta
Erasmus + VET. A teacher from the Escola Pia de Sarrià, Barcelona, and two from Institut Lacetània, Manresa, did a shadowing job in Malta, organized by our ImproveAway partners, thanks to an Erasmus + vocational training scholarship. The Institut Lacetània has grants from its own KA102 project, and Escola Pia Sarrià is part of the consortium of professional training centers Mobility Platform of Catalonia (Platmovcat), which has a joint project of 16 Catalan centers. Thanks to these scholarships, both students and teaching staff can make a training stay abroad.
pol Domingo and David Oliveras, professors of the Institut Lacetània de Manresa, and Román Castaño, of the Escola Pia de Sarrià, participated in a job shadowing organized by ImproveAway, a Malta entity that is dedicated to the management of European projects on this island of the Mediterranean.
The three joined the training plan designed by ImproveAway for a week, which had as its main objective to raise awareness of the Maltese education system and to debate the challenges that professional training professionals face in Spain and Malta.
The program included short stays at local companies in Malta that regularly host students in training courses in internships, as well as, contact with Maltese public institutions in the field of education.
