Erasmus + exchange in Barcelona. From December 3 to 11, the Mundus association participated in the organization of a youth exchange: "Intra EU - Light it Up". It was a project coordinated by the Catalan foundation Eveho, which manages different centers for supervised minors, in which 30 young people (from Spain and Romania) gathered in Barcelona to encourage exchange between cultures and improve their initiative and employability. Joining their ideas, the participants created and organized a Christmas event in Santa Coloma de Gramenet open to the local community.

The objective of the project was for young people, together with 6 educators from the different organizations involved, to live with a culture different from their own, thus deepening the different traditions and languages. In addition, as a second line of work, the focus was placed on improving the employability of the youth group by promoting work skills such as initiative, organizational capacity or creativity.

Project educators organized different workshops guided by peer to peer learning methodologies. Craft and craft workshops, as well as event organization, were held during the first days of the project. Finally, a Christmas fair was held at the Mas Fonollar Youth Resource Center, in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, in which participants presented their handicrafts. Children and families from the local community attended the event as it was totally open to the public. A few days before, the young people participated in a gymkana to get to know the city in which they had to ask the neighbors to get information about their municipality.

Through the "excuse" of the organization of this fair, the sense of the initiative and the entrepreneurial spirit of the young participants were worked on. Work was carried out in a sustainable way, interacting with the local community and involving from the beginning all and all participants in each task of the event.
