Get Updated: training course in the United Kingdom
Erasmus + Training Course. Carmen's experience begins like this: "I walked again through the streets I had walked a few years ago and fell in love with this city again, not knowing that the best was yet to come." Read on to learn how this testimony of two of our trotamundus continues in the "Get Updated: Project for professional development of youth workers" training course, held a few weeks ago in London.
Four years ago I did not step on the city to which I promised to return, until the day when on behalf of the Mundus Association they called me to offer me to participate in a Training Course on emotional intelligence.
The desire stalked me and a new challenge knocked on the door of the house. I looked at flights, looked for future colleagues in London and embarked on the adventure of spending around 10 days in the United Kingdom.
I walked again through the streets I had walked a few years ago and fell in love with this city again, not knowing that the best was yet to come. When I arrived at the hotel where we were going to stay during the course, the organizers welcomed us with a warm smile, and invited us to meet some colleagues who were already there, as well as the wonderful trainers who were going to accompany us during our stay .
The course lasted 7 days, week in which I have made fantastic friends from Greece, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Germany and a great etcetera. In this course we were around 12 different countries! Every day we beat the rain to get to the place where the activities were done, each one more entertaining, dynamic and useful than the previous one.
We built a tower as high as possible with some folios, a few spaghetti, a piece of thread and a little zeal; We met the most important person in our lives who was right in front of our reflection in the mirror, we learned about our emotional intelligence and we evaluated it, among many other activities.
And it was not only the course, but the intercultural nights in which I learned a lot about other countries; I know how to toast in other languages and have tried typical foods from certain places!
For me this opportunity has been an adventure with a smile as a point and apart that I want to repeat in Macedonia, since the luck with which I have counted is that this Training Course will be developed in 2 parts.
Again, I thank the Erasmus + program and Mundus for giving me the opportunity to live this adventure and I look forward to continuing to participate in these formations that unite and train people like me.
