Mobility workshop at the Institut Les Vinyes de Santa Coloma de Gramenet
Erasmus + mobility. Last Wednesday, February 20, Mundus held a mobility workshop for young people with fourteen students in the second year of the CFGM of Hairdressing Center. The objective of this workshop was to publicize the short-term mobility opportunities offered by the Erasmus + program to young residents.
The workshop began with a set of names so that the group could get to know each other better and explain their experience in European mobility programs, which varied among students who had experienced mobility stays and others who did not know Erasmus +. Some of the participants had already enjoyed an Erasmus + Vocational Training grant, and others will do so in this course, so the occasion also facilitated the exchange of expectations and fears, as well as tips to solve it.
In the session, the students had the opportunity to learn about non-formal education and the branches offered by the Erasmus + program for youth mobility. Specifically, about short-term mobility, they learned what a youth exchange consists of, its main features, objectives and themes.
Then they had the opportunity to consult the offers available from the Mundus Association, in addition to knowing the registration process and receiving instructions and advice on how to make a good curriculum and a letter of motivation in English. At the end of the day, more than half of the participants showed their interest in participating in a youth exchange in the coming months and, at least, four of them, assured their intention to volunteer at the end of their studies.
