Practices in Zaragoza. It is the second time that the technical school Powiatowy Zespol Szkół Nr. 1  from Kryzowic, Poland, comes to Zaragoza to carry out his mobility project with veterinary and horse breeding students. Magdalena Walicka-Klimiuck is the teacher of French and German, and has been the companion of the group in this month of stay in Zaragoza. Keep reading to know more!

Krzyżowice is a small municipality in southwestern Poland, near the city of Wroclaw. This is where the group of veterinary and horse breeding students who have completed a month of internships in companies such as the Hípica Riding School and the Centro Veterinario Husse, among others.

"Some arrived with fear for being alone in the company, but have taken the opportunity to learn English, some Spanish and have to look for tools to communicate like mobile apps," explains Magdalena Walicka-Klimiuck, the companion of the group. He tells us that the experience has been very beneficial for the students. For some of them, this will be the only internship experience throughout their studies, and it is important to have carried out quality practices such as those they have carried out in Zaragoza. Both companies and Magdalena say that all students have shown a high level of involvement in their practices.

"The other day was a student's birthday. We were celebrating the whole group together, but one boy was missing. As soon as I spoke with him, he explained that he was very sad because he had practiced his first euthanasia on a cat," says Magdalena as an anecdote. . Experiences like these put the student in real situations where they can develop personal and work skills that will allow them to improve their employability and activate their critical sense.

Patrycja, one of the students wrote: "I consider that practices in Spain have been the best moment of my life. I have come across a new culture, a new language (which at first was a bit shocking), but I quickly got used to it. People in Spain are really communicative, and they are always willing to help. Working with them has been a pleasure. I have learned that a different language is not a problem, I have improved my English and at the same time I have learned to be more responsible and punctual. I learned that work doesn't always have to be a bad thing. I wish I could repeat this month again. "

About Zaragoza, Magadalena says that it is "the ideal city to do the internship. It has the ideal size, the public transport works very well, it is safe and the students learn fast how to move. As a teacher I am very calm when I come here with a group" .

Being the second year, Magdalena has been able to observe in her students last year the before and after that has meant the experience for young people. "A girl who was very shy and quite self-conscious, after spending a month here, changed her role completely within the class and is now much more open and confident," explains the companion. It concludes: "All young people in Europe should participate in a mobility project".
