Erasmus + experiences in Romania. From February 8 to 23 Mari Trini and Pablo participated through Mundus in the project "Non Formal Education in Action" in Slanic Moldova, Romania.

The two have wanted to share their experience and publicize how they enjoyed those two weeks. Do not miss how they lived their trip!

Mari Trini Giner, Lorca (Murcia), 27 years old:

"How enriching it is to share your day to day and work as a team with people from 14 different countries? As good as it can be described, it will never be as good as living it. It is something that I recommend to everyone, so, among others Many reasons, I encourage anyone interested in not hesitating to sign up.

This has been my third Erasmus + training course, the first in Romania. In summer I made a Youth Exchange in the same country with this same shipping association (Thank you Mundus! You make me very happy: D), although in another part of Romania and the truth that has been the training that I liked the most, to Although it lasted a week longer than the previous ones. Maybe that's why, because you have more time to meet everyone and connect better.

It has also been for me the training in which more participating countries have been, 14! Among them, countries of which he did not know much and had not yet had the opportunity to meet someone from them, such as: Lebanon, Moldova and Azerbaijan. Now I really want to visit them and know more.

We learned a lot about non-formal education methods and techniques for building and functioning teams, tools for the promotion of European values ​​on diversity, intercultural dialogue and common values ​​of freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights. Long live the team building! We ourselves had to prepare some of the sessions, in addition to the international cultural exchange nights where we presented our respective countries and 5 projects that can see the light in the future on non-formal education aimed at groups of young people with fewer opportunities, such as refugees.

We also had time to disconnect and do some tourism, both in Slanic Moldova and in Brasov. We were almost on the banks of the Slanic River and the city where we stayed, in addition to being very pretty, with a snowy Carpathian landscape, it is known for its mineral waters, so it has several very affordable spas. We had time to go skiing. Which is also cheaper and the ski slope was close.

The must-see we could not miss was Bran Castle, better known as Dracula's Castle, which has a very curious history and not as well known as that of the fictional character Dracula.

Pablo García Irureta-Goyena, from Madrid, 26 years old:

"A week ago I finished my 'youth exchange' in Slanic Moldova, in Romania. After letting the emotions of the moment rest a little, I would like to share this experience with you and I will try to tell you why I think it is so important to carry out this type of exchanges and what He liked this experience.

The project was called 'Non Formal Education in Action' and we tried to address very current issues in Europe through non-formal education. We were more than 30 people of 15 different nationalities with a common goal, which was to find solutions to the migration and refugee crisis in Europe. We have shared experiences, learned dynamics and tools, understood realities that sometimes seem very alien to us and are not so different, and we have finished with the intention of changing the situation of today's Europe through different projects.

Beyond the theme of this particular exchange, there are many things that this experience brings you. Sharing two weeks with so many people is always something special. The cultural aspect is evident. Despite having done Erasmus and EVS, I had never met people from Moldova or Lebanon, for example, and it is a good way to continue learning from other cultures. Intercultural nights are good times to do it, but it is on a day to day basis that many things are discovered about others that can astonish, surprise or sometimes upset you, but that definitely influence you. Another aspect that I loved about this exchange is the place, Slanic Moldova, a small town in the middle of Romania with great charm and tranquility, which invited tranquility and rest. It is in these small places where one learns more from the country where he is.

I do not want to forget about personal development, because it is during these exchanges when one can forget about their daily routine and focus on oneself and how to relate to others. Sometimes it is not easy to go alone to a site, even for a short time, but from these 'discomforts' is when you have to try to act and respond better to the challenges. Best of all, is that in the end I returned with more knowledge, more friends and with much more desire to continue discovering.
