The long-term Edu-Action 2.0 project starts in Palermo. For two days, representatives of the associations participating in this strategic project to prevent and avoid school dropout have met in Palermo to study the lines of action and plan the activities of this two-year project. The project is coordinated by the Italian association Per Esempio ONLUS and four other organizations from Estonia, Kenya, Nepal and Uruguay are part, together with the Mundus Association.

Based on the positive experience of the first edition, the project Edu-Action 2.0 has been created to initiate cooperation with youth organizations in Kenya, Nepal, Uruguay, Estonia and Spain, in order to increase levels of school attendance. The objective is to promote the exchange of good practices to combat school dropout in these countries through mobility activities carried out by 12 young workers of the organizations participating in the project.

On February 12 and 13, 2019, the first meeting of partners ("Kick off Meeting") was held in Palermo, where the headquarters of the project coordinating organization is located, Per Esempio ONLUS.

This has been the first of a series of activities, in which the actions of the project have been defined, guides and working methods have been established and a joint plan of action for the project has been developed.

The rest of European and non-European partners have also been present, including two representatives of Mundus Association, and two of the following project partners: Resource Hub fr Development (Kenya), Campaign for Change (Nepal), AUDELE (Uruguay)  Seiklejate Vennaskond (Estonia)

During this time, cross-cutting research activities (surveys, interviews and focus groups), visibility and communication, and monitoring and evaluation of the evolution of the project will also be carried out. The final result will be a publicacion, translated into different languages, as a manual, as was done in the first edition of the project.
